Gawin niyo guys!
At random order siya dahil pinapakinggan ko to from my playlist as I write it down. At infairness, medyo mahirap pumili ng songs. Good memories :)
***
Once you have been tagged, you are supposed to write down 25 songs you cannot live without. You know, the ones you can listen to over and over and never get tired of. They don't have to be in any particular order. These are the songs that make you laugh, cry, think of an old friend, whatever the reason.
***
1. Hoppipola - Sigur Ros
2. Linger - The Cranberries
3. Yellow - Coldplay
5. Beat It - Doy (Yup, mas gusto ko yung version niya kesa version ni Michael Jackson. haha)
6. Next Episode - Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg (Classic HS song. Good times)
7. Broken Sonnet - Hale (Ultimate EMO song)
8. Stolen - Dashboard Confessional
9. The Scientist - Coldplay
10. Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol (Gino is a fan of Snow Patrol)

15. Akap - Imago
16. Fool - Lifehouse
17. Strike Whilst the Iron is Hot - Orange and Lemons (Naaalala ko pa rin nung narinig ko sila kantahin to live. Mind blowing.

Isa pang quote from The Zahir
"Grace can not be hoarded. There are no banks where it can be deposited to be used when I feel more at peace with myself. If I do not make full use of these blessings , I will lose them forever.
God knows we are all artists of life. One day he gives us a hammer with which to make all sculptures, another day he gives us brushes and paints with which to make a picture, or paper and pencil to write with. But you can not make a painting with a hammer or sculpture with a paintbrush. Therefore, however difficult it may be, I must accept today's small blessings, even if they seem like curses because I am suffering and it's such a beautiful day, the sun is shining, and the children are singing in the street. This is the only way I will manage to leave my pain behind and rebuild my life." - The Zahir
YUP. If there is something that I have learned from work (and am still learning nowadays), it is that you have got to appreciate life regardless of how it manifests itself to you. Because the moment that you feel sorry for yourself for whatever reason, that is when you neglect to make the most of the good things that are present in your life. Yes, work has been hard (and even depressing at times) but, at the end of each day, I always find something nice to look back on.
HAHAHA! Pero yun lang siguro, totoo naman kasi. Work has been shetty for me. HAHAHA

6 Useful Work Skills
Update lang, for the past month, I have been been doing BE/IT MSA work for two projects: Optima and Saudi. Medyo stressful siya considering that a) my role in Optima is a technical lead (which means na SUPPOSEDLY alam ko ang mga technical matters concerning MOST of the rows), b) I am doing BE work in Saudi and may issues kami na kailangan ko kausapin GLOBAL process owners ng MSA, c) Sat to Wed ang workdays ng SAUDI locals namin which means na nakakausap lang namin sila from Mon to Wed, and d) HINDI pa ko naguundergo ng formal training sa MSA. All of this equates to kalat days kung saan todo sabaw ako, nauubos ang pera ko sa stress eating at narerelive ang aking faith in God. hahaha!
In order to survive, buti na lang naka-develop ako ng ilang useful skills na naapply ko aking working days. These are skills na nagagamit ko tuwing baon ako sa mga meetings, kapag may hinaharap ako na issue or even sa simple interaction ko with my contacts from operations, Saudi or accenture. So to those na magwowork pa lang, here are some things na tingin ko matututunan niyo rin sooner or later.
1. Kahit nasa heated email or mc conversation with someone about an issue, nakakaya ko pa rin mag singit ng smiley sa aking mga messages. Kahit na deep inside gusto ko na i-fillet (felay for Imman, Randy and Martin) ang mukha ng kausap ko.
2. Kaya ko kausapin ang isang tao (through email or MC lang) about an issue at iconvince siya regarding what I think even though I have NO CLUE ABOUT WTF I'M TALKING ABOUT (sorry to my PM's). Unfortunately, pag call or face to face, madali nila nabbreak ang aking thin barrier of deception kaya hindi ko to magawa. Connected with this, kaya ko na umattend sa mga conference or update meetings kahit na WALA AKONG ALAM at INPUTS and still make it seem na actively participating ako. hahaha
3. After around 8 hours of stress, may energy pa rin ako makipagkwentuhan at makipag sabawan with my officemates kapag inaabot kami ng gabi sa office.
"You have a very cute son. She must have gotten it from her mother"
5. Kaya ko na mangulit sa mga taong hindi ko naman kilala (upang humingi ng tulong or sabihin na bilisan nila trabaho nila. haha) and still have the guts na makipag-small talk. hahahha!
and
6. Natututunan ko na iappreciate ang little things in life :) (HAHAHA! gay but true)

Ben and Gino's
May nakakatuwang pangyayari last weekend.Nag grocery kami ng dad ko (at ako yung nagdrive) sa Shopwise sa Antipolo and, to my surprise, meron silang tinitindang Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. The same Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream which I have been searching for for God knows how many years now (siguro mga 2 years). The same ice cream na akala ko sa panaginip ko lang matitikman (unless pupunta ako sa states). And yes, the one and only Ben & Jerry's ice cream na inaral namin ang business case sa isang LS class dati. hahaha!
It really stands out. Pero more than the quality of the ice cream, ang nagpa-WOW talaga sakin ay yung flavors nila.
"Bigyan Sa Pwet" - Chocolate ice cream mixed with chunks of chocolate brownie and chocolate chips. Ok to pag kakatapos mo lang mag number 2. "Hmm... looks familiar"
"Patikim ng Pinya" - Pina ice cream (ala sorbetes sa Vigan). Natandaan ko lang to kasi surprisingly masarap ang pineapple flavored ice cream. First time ko nakatikim nito.
"Emo's Delight" - Dark chocolate ice cream with spots of strawberry ice cream. Nothing spells emo more than dark bitter chocolate with lipstick-red strawberry ice cream. Parang hindi bagay? Sino ba nagsabing masarap maging emo? hahaha
"Och vs Chua" - Vanilla ice cream with mixed in Dewberry cookies.
"Absinthe Effect" - Pistachio with bits of nuts, chips, sisig at kahit ano pang pagkain na pwedeng pang pulutan.
and...
"Gino's All Stars" - THE DREAM ICE CREAM. Vanilla and mocha ice cream with mixed cashew nuts, oreo and bits of reese's chocolate. Dream ice cream ko to. talap talap. hahahha

From "The Zahir" by Paulo Coelho
" 'He died while he was still alive.'
That might sound like a contradiction in terms, but I knew many people who had ceased to live, even though they continued to work and eat and engage in their usual social activities. They did everything automatically, oblivious to the magic moment that each day brings with it, never stopping to think about the miracle of life, never understanding that the next minute could be their last on the face of this planet. "
Maganda naman yung libro pero, for some reason, nakakatulog ako after 5 pages of reading. Pero this was too good not to share :)
Naisip ko lang to ipost kasi nagkaron ako ng time these past few days to catch up on my reading. Kasi the past few weeks have been stressful (due to Optima and Saudi projects) kaya it's nice to have days kung saan wala ka magawa kung hindi magbasa. And yes, it might sound gay pero The Zahir yung binabasa ko lately.

Welcome to the Goodie Room
Medyo repost ito kasi nawala yung video nung last time. Buti meron pang isa. hahaha!
We had our first win yesterday. At dahil dyan, we now have a record of 1-3. Not bad considering zero wins yung team namin last year. hahaha! Anyway, it was a much deserved win. 7 lang kami kahapon pero we gave it our all which resulted in a win (actually 6 lang din yung kalaban so kami pa yung may advantage). Pero it came with a price. Mukhang may mga injuries na naman ako. Tae sana hindi seryoso.
The victory was especially special (ano noh?) for me because it was my first league win in around 2 and a half years. Yes, all the therapy sessions and training finally paid off. And I'm proud to say na nagiimprove na talaga ang aking laro.
Last last game (talo kami), naka 17 points ata ako (11 sa isang quarter). First time ako nakarinig na may kalaban na sumisigaw na, "I-box one na na natin yun (referring to me)" after ko makashoot ng tres sa harap ng bench nila. Gusto ko halikan yung sumigaw nun. hahaha
Last game naman ako nag point guard for our team. First time ever. First quarter - first two shots - two threes. hahaha! Ok din naman dahil nakarami ako assists. Ending stats ko more or less, 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block. Ang sarap i-add sa fantasy team noh? At sorry sa pagbubuhat ng sariling bangko. Ilang taon din naipon to. hahaha!
PLAYA PLAYA! SWING IT PAST YOUR KNEEZZ!! HAHAHA
